At the age of 14, Erin Gill-Wilson started her own nonprofit organization, Mentally E.A.T. (Evolve Achieve Transform) with Erin. Mentally E.A.T. allows Erin to host online sessions to address the needs and problems facing the youth in her community. She addresses topics such as Mental Health, Financial Literacy, and Self Advocacy.

In addition to her nonprofit, Erin has served as a guest speaker to discuss various topics including anti-racism, mental health, and juvenile justice. She also developed other presentations to share her views on the mounting gun violence and the lack of equity in education in the city of Philadelphia. Erin was also an intern for the Office of PA Attorney General during the summer of 2021.

She now acts as an co-Executive Director Urbed Inc., a nonprofit organization that combines community organizing and policy to ensure that Philadelphia students have the equitable education they deserve. Upon graduating from Carver High School for Engineering and Science, Erin now attends Cheyney University, the nation’s first HBCU, majoring in Criminal Justice.

Recently becoming the first Chief Executive Assistant for Community Curator, a consulting firm to support philanthropists in Philadelphia- When asked what change she wishes to orchestrate, Erin’s answer was simple and powerful: “combat racial disparities in the criminal justice and education system while promoting mental wellness for the Black/AA community.
