Luke Risher

Luke is a young organizer and artist from Philadelphia. Growing up in diverse community focus on creating change and movement building Luke was interesting in organizing from a young age. Going to public schools his whole life he got involved with education organizing from middle school working around issues of school closures, school conditions, racial disparities, over policing, and general student power. This work lead him and other students to create UrbEd in high school and build a platform for real student representation. Now an alumni of the district Luke continues to support current students in leading this work. Outside of UrbEd Luke works as a director and videographer with a local production company.
