The Co-Executive Director is the key leader and organizer of UrbEd Inc. The Co-Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs, and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.
The Co-ED for Strategic Initiatives manages office development, strategic planning monitoring, finances, grants, government relations, and board relations.
The Co-Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing an annual budget of over $150,000, and approximately 6-19 team members and 2 consultants. To sustain the work of UrbEd Inc., the Co-ED is responsible for maintaining relationships with funders as well as seeking out a mix of fundraising sources from foundations to individual donors. This will be important to the success of this role and the sustainability of the organization.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborative and empathetic leadership of a 10+ person paid-staff, board of directors, CPA, interns, and The Bullhorn News Editorial Board.
- Managing and fundraising an annual budget of over $150,000+
- Develop and expand relationships with key stakeholders, various Philadelphia organizers, politicians, and cultural groups.
- Maintain strategic direction of collaborative youth space/office/and podcast studio in Center City (1521 Locust St.)
- Oversee the organizational, financial, and HR operations of the organization
- Facilitate the successful completion of PA Charitable Forms, Taxes, and IRS/State Financial Reporting
- Utilize illustrator/canva graphic design, web design, and CMS platforms
- Completing grant reports, grant applications, and grant related materials
