As an intern at UrbEd, Inc., you will have the chance to make an impact in your community while gaining valuable experience and skills. We are calling on all young people who want Philadelphia to be better, who want to join the fight for an equitable education, safety, and their community. You will work closely with a team of dedicated advocates and organizers, collaborating with changemakers, officials, journalists, education administrators, and so much more in the city.

The Programs Intern works with the Programs and Advocacy team of UrbEd, Inc. to successfully carry out in-person and virtual programs and events within UrbEd Inc. Youth Office Space, with community partners, and more! Perhaps the most hands-on, this internship is directly involved with planning and hosting events for the Philadelphia community, including but not limited to:

  • Gun Violence Workshops and Advocacy Events

Additionally this intern may assist with UrbEd’s advocacy workshops, Fellowship Program, and other long-term programs.

While it is not required, applicants looking to apply should have a passion for organizing within the city of Philadelphia and adequate communication skills.
